Just a few minutes from the hotel: Restaurant Schilling is located right on Schaprode harbour. Sunny terrace, views of the ferries to Hiddensee, regional cuisine. Especially recommended: dishes made with Oha beef — an old Rügen cattle breed with exceptional flavour. Reservation recommended, especially in peak season.

The New Year's Eve at our place is particularly cosy. Our hotel is especially popular on New Year's Eve with guests seeking tranquillity and dog owners, as it remains calm and relaxing around the Rügenschmiede – completely without fireworks. You can welcome the new year here in complete peace, take a walk in the wintery Bodden landscape, or spend New Year's Eve comfortably in the company of your loved ones.

For those who prefer to celebrate New Year's Eve loudly and colourfully, there is, of course, this option too: In the larger towns on the island, just a few minutes away by car, classic New Year's Eve celebrations with fireworks take place. This way, you have the choice – between a quiet getaway with your dog and nature or a festive start to the new year just as you like it.
